Scaling up an e-commerce store is not easy. And if you’re reading this article, chances are that you are not fully satisfied with your conversions at the moment. Or, you may have aimed to increase your conversions in order to expand your business further.

At this point, however, you’re probably not aware of whether your current conversion rate is good or bad.

So in this article, we’ve introduced a number of ways in which you can increase the number of your B2B e-commerce conversions.

In general, e-commerce conversions may include the following goals:

  • Signing up for the emails
  • Buying things online
  • Adding items to the wishlist
  • Adding items to the cart
  • Shares on social media

Let’s move ahead and talk about the simple ways in which your e-commerce store can triple conversions.

1. Fix the analytics

In case you want correct information regarding how people are making use of your website, you will need analytics that is in tune with your business needs. This will allow you to make improvements that are necessary to increase conversions.

Analytics that are in tune with the needs of your business will give you real insights into how people are using your site, and show you obvious improvements that need to be made in your conversion rate optimization (CRO) strategy.

Oftentimes, there is something that is not getting tracked properly in the analytics. This prevents business owners from getting full clarity on the matter.

So, in order to figure out what events lead to purchases, make tweaks in the analytics by segmenting the traffic that is tracking the repeat buyers.

2. Make use of qualitative data tools

While it is very easy to make wild guesses of the “best practices” the entire day, it is very crucial to know what exactly the customers are doing. Qualitative data tools that include Hotjar and others, provide a number of real insights into the needs and wants of your customers.

This is something that can be achieved by creating session recordings, user polls, conversion funnels, and heat maps.

3. Let your phone number be displayed very prominently

Customer service is far more essential than business owners realize, in an e-commerce store. This is because your customers should be made to feel like you are there to help them whenever they need you. In order to promote positive customer sentiment, make sure that your phone number is clearly visible in the footers and the header, along with the checkout pages.

4. State the unique selling propositions very clearly

It is very important to think exactly the way your customers do. Ask yourself,  “If I were my customer, why would I from my store rather than from anyone else?” Do you sell cheaper stuff? Or is your service faster than your competitors’? Does it yield better results? Know what makes you special.

Then, prominently state the unique selling proposition – ideally in the headline. More often than not, it is going to be the first thing that will catch your potential customer’s eye and make them come to you for business.
